I just graduated.
I've been working on the steps that follow something like that. I've been cleaning out my computer. I've been organizing my pictures and mp3z. I've been watching Hey Arnold. I've been addicted to Netflix. I HAVEN'T BEEN THERE FOR YOU! I've had to be here for myself... but being there for you is so much more exciting. YOU THE READER! aka my mom. OH! i also had bronchitis, so that gives me a great excuse for my absence. I just came back from a mini vacation in Florida, i'm about to leave the office and run home to my bed.

I am looking for someone in the NYC area to clean out my computer and organize my files onto an external hard drive. NAME YOUR PRICE. 
I have to edit something I don't care about tonight, the good thing is it inspired me to find something I do care about.
Things are looking great and soon I will have REALLY REALLY BEAUTIFUL AND AMAZING NEWS TO SHARE WITH EVERYONE!

Hey Kittens, today I want to try out the BEAUTY BLOGGING thing for a second. Maybe it can be a friday ritual, jsut dont hate on the PhotoBooth camera shots. 

I just wanted to say that my gal pal's at Maybelline know whats up! Their EYESTUDIO collection is sick! The colors have strong pigmentation so you're cool with just one stroke! not ashy at all! Ive got on my nars orgasam illuminator hidden somewhere under my Dream Smooth Mousse in NUDE BEIGE. Lining my eyes is Maybelline's Cool Effects in "ON THE ROCKS 37" and some Pearlglide eyeliner by MAC in BLACK RUSSIAN. I call them OW! eyes because when i asked my co-workers what they thought they let me know i look like someone punched me in the eyes, cute!

On the nails I started off with 2 layers of ESSIE's Midnight Cami followed by a glop of NYC glitter polish in (i dont know) then ON TOP OF THATTTTT is Soiree by MAC. It's super textured and wayyy baroque looking. MAD NICE SON.

AIDS WALK NYC

This coming month I will be participating in the NYC AIDS walk. This will be my first year joining as a Star Walker so I'm hoping to meet a minimum fund-raising amount of $1,000. I ask you guys to please help me reach my goal by donating to my AIDS WALK page. By donating as little as  $25 each we can make a big difference and help put an end to this disease which discriminates no one and sees no age, race or sex.

About 8 years ago I lost my uncle to AIDS. He was a super awesome music lover and record collector with a wife and two equally awesome kids. Like many who find out they are HIV positive, he was scared to be abandoned so he kept it a secret from my family until it was too late. It is painful to think of all the suffering him and his loved ones had to go through once the disease started unravel. I am hoping that all the wonderful people participating and donating to this event will be enough to let others know there is a strong community out there to fall back on and no one will have to ever worry about being abandoned. One day all our hard work will pay off and we will be able to put an end to this epidemic.

SHIMMER FACE 3000

As some of you fashion kittens might, every 10 years we start feeling a bit of nostalgic about the past. (well people say 40, or 20, etc. I guess it just goes in intervals of 10 depending on which group of people you're referring to)

I'm 21 years old right now and about 2 years ago I went into pre-teen retrograde (Remember! thats when I created this childish blog). Memories of the late 90's and early 2000's began rattling in my brain. I decided to download all the dirty south songs my white bff's would force me to booty dance to (I am still addicted and cant understand why I would have ever abandoned such great music). I started dreaming about hitting the beach in a white bikini (a la J.Lo), riding a waverunner as the sun bounced off my Nars Orgasm'd cheeks (a la mariah). Those were the days where my friends and I were first exposed to HTML and would spend hours perfecting our AOL profiles, showing off all our "BFFS" in the form of slutty looking avatars from THEDOLLPALACE.com. We used to make water balloons and put them under our bathing suit tops, play Toothpaste at the pool, watch Singled Out spring break edition with DJ Skribble and point to the screen saying "IM THAT GIRL!!!"

am hoping to find use for the butterfly clips I begged my little sister to unearth and I am even considering sporting a tattoo jelly bracelet. We have seen so much color on the runways recently and I am excited for the upcoming summers which will hopefully be more carefree and original then our most recent ones. We've already started to see that whole raver look become cool, in NY there are gangs of sweet neo-clubkids who are starting to influence fashion mainstream of Parsons students. what is next? In 2002 Brazil won the World Cup, in 2014 the world cup will be in Brazil, I AM FEELING BRAZIL!!! I've been waking up to the sound of "BEAUTIFULLL I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOWWW" am now dreaming of full-blowout hair, glistening tan skin and wearing Versace's popular Green Palm dress from 2000.

Four Visions: B-Sides & Forgotten Poems

Last year I was introduced to Daniel Abary of Four Visions and Youth Castles(new shoe-gaze project) by my beautiful and wonderful then roommate and now BFF, glittervomit. Dan writes and records all sorts of cute folky songs, most are based off of really sweet poems he writes about girls he likes/liked. Once we were fb chatting about bright eyes or his music or something and he whipped out this really dramatic line and it was awesome"i just write songs so she could know i love her." I DIED. I then told him i would save it and use it for something and now i am! 

I've downloaded most of the albums and thats not jsut cos hes cute and a friend, its because the music is way nice and dreamy! he has such a lovely/sad voice and i'm a moody girl. I listen to it and pretend i have a boyfriend/meaningful relationship or soemthing! you should totally listen to the "sea of twirls" song, i played it all the way home today!

"B-Sides & Forgotten Poems" is a collection of songs that didn't make it into the release I put out in October 2010 called "Poems." This release also contains a lot of older material I wrote in the past. Older songs like "Sea Of Twirls" were written and recorded when I was still in high school. "Spirit Fuck" is an example of improv on a friends garage band program whilst being 'sorta-drunk.' And "Graveyard Photos" is a terrible 'think-piece-poem-filler' i recorded on cassette (haha).

I always enjoy it when my favorite artists release b-sides and even demos to their listeners, so I thought it'd be rad to do just that.

You can tell there was a lot of experimentation in the past with my sound. I cringe and laugh at some of the vocals in these recordings.

As of now I'm taking a long break from writing acoustic/folk-esque stuff and working on a new project called Youth Castles. This kind of music bums me out.
